I know we are all geniuses. It’s obvious innit?
But for those rare days ‘when you cannot brain you have the dumb’ there’s, Master Handbook Acoustics by F. Alton Everest. Fourth Edition – the last edition with Everest as the sole author.,

An apt author’s mom de plume for the mountain of reference information presented in this well written book. Those of us that are purely experimenting with sound or following a classical or even novena approach to various audio disciplines would do well to consult this book for better understanding of the medium you’re driving.
Though the book is formal in its treatment of the subject it does not have the dryness of a textbook and is a good read when you’re not data combing chapters for help or affirmations. From the fundamentals of sound, through professional working knowledge, to theory, the theme and thread of Acoustics stays true and proves it with analysis, mathematical formulas and real-world examples .
Even for the expert, and aren’t we all, the depth of the details, and clarity with which they are framed, provides thought provoking exercise for our big analog brains.
The updated books with Ken Pohlmann listed as co-author are modernized versions of Everest’s classic work. Pohlmann is an excellent writer on many different subjects and expands the Everest originals in a respectful way while introducing his own style and insight.

Sound Art Magazine prefers the older edition – though both editions are excellent. Either way make sure you get the book. It’s faster. Always on.
